Accounting in Vadodara

Business accounting you don’t have to think about

When the books are current, GST returns match, income tax is correct, bank loans move faster and audits take days instead of weeks.

We record your transactions in Tally, Busy, Zoho Books or the software you already use, close the books every month or quarter, reconcile bank and party balances, and send you short reports you can actually read. Your GST and TDS ledgers are kept in step with the returns we file.

Good to know

Accounting rules that affect your tax

Rules change often. These are the points we see clients miss most — ask us how they apply to you.

  • Pay MSME suppliers within 45 days

Amounts owed to micro and small enterprises beyond the agreed period (maximum 45 days) are disallowed as an expense until actually paid.

  • Cash expenses above ₹10,000

A cash payment above ₹10,000 to one person in a day is generally disallowed as a business expense. Pay through the bank.

  • Cash receipts of ₹2 lakh or more

Receiving ₹2 lakh or more in cash from one person for a transaction or a single day is prohibited and attracts a penalty equal to the amount.

  • Audit trail for companies

Companies must use accounting software that keeps an audit trail (edit log) of every change, and the feature cannot be disabled.

  • Keep records for the required period

Companies must keep books for eight years; GST records must be kept for at least 72 months from the annual return due date.

  • Books decide your tax audit

Turnover in your books drives tax audit and GST thresholds. Up-to-date accounts let you plan instead of react.

Documents

What to keep ready

We send a checklist specific to your case. These are the documents most often needed.

  • Sales and purchase invoices
  • Bank statements for all accounts
  • Expense bills and cash vouchers
  • Salary and payroll details
  • Loan statements and sanction letters
  • Fixed asset purchase invoices
  • Stock or inventory details
  • Previous year’s financial statements
